Contact all the coastal county Judges and Commissioners Courts and request their passage ofTPWD Resolution adopted November 10, 2014 by Galveston County Honorable Judge Mark Henry in support of our oyster industry position in opposition of S.T.O.R.M. as we continue to battle.
Obtain as many signatures as possible on the Concerned Citizens of Texas Gulf Coast petition, to defend our rights as fisherman, harvesters, oyster leaseholders and the State of Texas to own, maintain and control the state's water bottoms and natural resources.
As stakeholders of the bay it is our responsibility to keep public natural resources PUBLIC and out of the hands of a private entity.
Allowing a company to have this much control is
VERY DANGEROUS and could set a precedent that could eventually lead to the privatization of more public resources
coast-wide.
Join the Texas Parks Wildlife Department (TPWD) and Texas General Land Office (GLO) in refusing to acknowledge S.T.O.R.M.'s position citing the laws of the State of Texas and the powers and authorities granted to both the TPWD and the GLO to govern such matter.
